This weeks Quick Tip is for shoulder pain. The first thing to do is foam rolling for your Lattismus Dorsi muscle, also known at the “Lats”. Spending time loosening up this muscle can help to relieve some of the tightness, or pain, you may feel while doing exercises involving the shoulder, especially any kind of pulling exercises. Following rolling for your lats, try these two banded exercises which aim to activate the mid-back muscles and strengthen the muscles of your Rotator Cuff. Though these three exercises alone will note completely fix your shoulder problems, they are the stepping stones to help provide you with some relief.
